Contact Associates provide evidence-based assessments of individualsā needs for non-DSA funded students.
Our experienced team of assessors deliver high quality assessments of need for non-DSA funded students with specific learning differences such as dyslexia, autism, mental health related difficulties, visual or hearing impairments and long-term chronic disabilities or physical disabilities.
This enables non-DSA students to access any specialist equipment and/or one-to-one support in-order to fulfil their learning potential.
We currently work with Higher Education Providers (HEPs) across the UK and recommendations often include:
- One to one Non-Medical Help (NMH) support, such as Specialist Mentoring support and/or Specialist one-to-one Study Skills & Strategies support.
- A laptop/computer, dependent on need.
- Assistive technology (AT), for example, text to speech software to aid with reading difficulties, web apps to record lectures for those who find keeping up with note-taking problematic and/or software to aid with planning and organisation.
- Training on how to use the assistive software: to ensure the student makes good use of any recommendations made.
